Welcome to Caravan Tech. As well as our well stocked shop and great range of new and used Motorhomes and Caravans we have our recently built 5 bay workshop. We offer a wide range of services and repairs. Our workshop is NCC, Caravan Club and Camping and Caravan club approved and has been awarded workshop of the year by Swift in recent years.

We try our best to offer the best service possible undertaking any size job to most makes of caravan or motorhome. We offer full servicing, chassis servicing, repairs to gas, water and electrical systems and habitation servicing to Motorhomes.

As we are Swift caravan and Ace motorhome main dealers we can carry out servicing to Swift, Sterling, Ace and Bessacarr to keep your warranty up to date; we also service Explorer group caravans.

Motorhome and Caravan servicing and repairs

Our NCC approved workshops are able to offer a vast range of services from a basic safety check to carrying out full insurance approved accident repairs. As well as specialist damp repair facilities. We also supply and fit tyres at competitive prices. We are able to offer a full range of work on your caravan/motorhome and specialise in insurance repairs. Our labour rate is £40.00 per hour plus VAT.

Part 1 (Chassis service)
1. Corner steadies - operation checked, lubricated.
2. Chassis members - inspected
3. Check and adjust hitch and damper/adjust handbrake.
4. Wheels/tyres - check condition and pressures.
5. Brakes/bearings - remove hubs, clean and lubricate, brake shoes replaced where required.
6. Oil and grease moving parts.

Part 2 (with part 1 gives a full service)
Electrical
1. Plugs/cables - check and test
2. Lights - test
3. 240v installation - circuit breakers,cable and sockets checked.
4. 12v installation - fuse boards, lights and charger (where applicable) checked.
Water systems
1. Water system, taps, pipes and filter checked. water filter renewed.
Gas appliances
1. Refrigerator - remove and service
2. Heater - ignition and operation checked.
3. Oven/grill and hob - operation tested.
4. Gas system - gas leak check and check pipes.
General
1. Damp check - to national caravan council guidelines
2. Check seals
